Typical Cartoon Style is very good don't forget that.
It's good for the unique comics often seen. But these artists, even if you notice, emphasize their style so it looks appropriate and unique.
But your trying to draw characters that we are already well known. And it seems unstructured cause the audience already knows what they look like.
But don't worry, drawing cartoon skeletons is very easy.
You just start off with a stick figure of a pose that you want.
Then draw around it.
Also...be sure to check out getting some good inking pens.
COPIC is my favorite brand for inking and coloring.

You forget..."Jak and Daxter" they are part of Naughty Dog too...
Remember....try to draw a cartoon skeleton to keep your characters looking proportional.
1. Stick Figure
2. Circles, Ovals, Squars
3. Add Detail
4. Ink the outline and details
5. Erase the guidelines gently
6. Scan, then color, then add effects.
Also, try working on creating backgrounds as well...

I tried Jak and Daxter, but they are a little bit difficult to draw (youre totally right! I got a few problems with proportions!). I will try it again and upload it, when Im satisfied with my result. Lots of my drawings are "from mind to hand" (I think its a typical cartoon-style), if you now what I mean. And thanks again for scouting me!
I watched some of your stuff and youre really good at it! You did this with Illustrator? Im useing Photoshop 7 (Its a software from the stoneage, but still works). I will also try backgrounds!
